47th Annual Christmas Walk and Tree Lighting on 5th Avenue South

Come celebrate the holidays on Fifth Avenue South at the biggest Christmas showcase in Naples! The Avenue will be closed off to traffic throughout this 2-day Festival, allowing for a broad array of exciting activities to take place in a safe and socially distanced environment. This year’s Christmas on Fifth will include expanded outdoor dining allowing guests to dine ‘al fresco’ at their favorite restaurants right on the street. Wynn’s Market will return to Sugden Plaza offering its pop-up “mini” market of gourmet foods and wines and specialty gift items, and several top chefs will offer cooking demonstrations. Member/exhibitors in these shows are required to pass a rigorous jury process. The disciplines included in these shows include – Oils, Acrylic and Watercolor Painting, Pen and Ink, Pencil and Pastel Drawing, Photography, Custom and Special Handmade Jewelry, Sculptures, Pottery and Clay Artwork, Stained and fused glass, Wood turning and carving, Special Basket weaving and much more.

  • The number of closed sales in the 12 months ending October 31, 2020 for the Naples and Bonita Springs Area increased 19% year-over-year (7,884 vs 6,640).
  • There were 79 closed sales, priced above two million, in October 2020 compared to 24 in October 2019, a 229% increase. During the 12 months ending October 31, 2020, sales in this category increased 47% over the same time period in 2019 (521 vs 354).

NEW LISTINGS / INVENTORY

  • During the 12 months ending October 31, 2020, a total of 10,244 new listings were added to the market, this is a decrease of less than 1% vs the same time period 12 months ending October 31, 2019.
  • Available inventory as of October 31, 2020 consisted of 3,599 units, a decrease of 20% vs the same time period in 2019. Current inventory represents 4.6 months of supply based on current absorption rates.

AVERAGE & MEDIAN SALES PRICE

Named by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the “Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” in 2019, the twelfth Naples International Film Festival (NIFF) takes place October 22-25, 2020.

It may look different this year – a hybrid of virtual and in-person events – but the quality and variety of films remains the same.
