Run For the Paws

January 26, 2019 | 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Lace up your shoes, leash up your dog (cats in strollers welcome, too!) and join us for the 12th Annual Run for the Paws to raise money and awareness for Humane Society Naples, Southwest Florida’s premier no-kill animal shelter.

Pre-race packet pick up will be Friday, January 26 from 10 am – 4 pm at the main shelter on Airport-Pulling Road. Day of race packet pick up will begin at 7 am on Saturday, January 27 at the Civil Air Patrol Building at Naples Municipal Airport. 

Race begins at 8 a.m. Pets are welcome to participate with their Guardians, but must be leashed (non-retractable leash), up-to-date with vaccinations and cannot interfere with other participants or pets. Please only bring pets that are accustomed to this distance (3.1 miles). 

T-shirts to the first 1,000 participants to register. All participants are asked to line up according to pace (minute/mile). Finish times and awards will be based on chip time, so your net finish will count! Awards will be given to overall male & female and top 3 each age group (male & female): 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & greater, and weight category for dogs.

Finish line timing will continue for at least one hour and twenty minutes-results will be tallied as soon as possible.

  • During the 12 months ending December 31, 2018, a total of 11,629 new listings were added to the market, this is 9% more listings than the same time period, 12 months ending December 31, 2017.
