Naples Botanical Garden and Naples Garden Club combine resources and talents to present the Naples Flower Show. The two-day event, one of the largest flower shows in Florida, includes a Garden Market, a variety of educational demonstrations as well as the Naples Garden Club’s spectacular juried Designs and Horticultural exhibits.

Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival

March 22, 2019 – March 24, 2019 | Daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The 2019 Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival offers a full weekend of fun. It begins on Friday, March 22 and the party continues through Sunday, March 24.

In addition to a weekend of great music, all your favorite seafood specialties will be available fresh fish, grouper, crab cakes, stone crab, shrimp, crawdads, chowder and more. There is a huge assortment of traditional landlubber favorites, too.

Beer and wine will be available to quench your thirst. Over 60 arts and crafts vendors will open Friday morning at 11:00 AM. A kid’s zone with bounce house, slide, rock climbing wall, trampoline and more to wear off some of that energy while you enjoy the music, the food and the friends.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Fifth

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Saturday, March 16 on Fifth Avenue South in downtown Naples starting at 11:00 AM. A little over 40 years ago a group of fun-loving Neapolitans got together and decided to have a parade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Through the hard work of many volunteers and the generous support of patrons, the parade has prospered in the decades since. The parade is now the largest privately-funded parade in the state. It draws over 40,000 people to downtown Naples each year to celebrate Irish heritage and Irish culture in America. The Naples St. Patrick Foundation has donated over $200,000 to local high school bands and scholarships in the last five years.

  • The number of closed sales in the 12 months ending February 28, 2019 for the luxury market from Port Royal to Bonita Beach Road area improved 2% year-over-year (358 vs 352). 

NEW LISTINGS / INVENTORY

  • During the 12 months ending February 28, 2019, a total of 688 new listings were added to the market, this is approximately 11% more listings than the same time period 12 months ending February 28, 2018. 
  • Available inventory as of February 28, 2019 consisted of 518 units, an increase of 8% vs the same time period in 2018. Current inventory represents 17 months of supply based on current absorption rates. 

AVERAGE & MEDIAN SALES PRICE

  • The year-over-year average sales price for the area was $3,828,590, which increased 27% vs the same time period in 2018. 
  • The median sales price for the area increased 52% to $3,800,000 vs $2,495,000 in 2018.

  • During the 12 months ending February 28, 2019, a total of 642 new listings were added to the market, which is no increase vs the same time period, 12 months ending February 28, 2018. 
  • Available inventory as of February 28, 2019 consisted of 474 units, an increase of 15% vs the same time period in 2018. Current inventory represents 17 months of supply based on current absorption rates. 

AVERAGE & MEDIAN SALES PRICE

  • The year-over-year average sales price for the area was $1,971,538, a decrease of 3% vs the same time period in 2018. 
  • The median sales price for the area decreased 12% to $1,600,000 vs $1,820,000 in 2018.

  • The number of closed sales in the 12 months ending February 28, 2019 for the Naples, Bonita Springs and Estero area increased 4% year-over-year (7,017 vs 6,751). 
  • There were 31 closed sales, priced above two million, in February 2019 compared to 38 in February 2018 a 23% decrease. During the 12 months ending February 28, 2019, sales in this category increased 12% over the same time period in 2018 (407 vs 363). 

NEW LISTINGS / INVENTORY

  • During the 12 months ending February 28, 2019, a total of 11,591 new listings were added to the market, this is 7% more listings than the same time period, 12 months ending February 28, 2018.
  • Available inventory as of February 28, 2019 consisted of 6,216 units, an increase of 8% vs the same time period in 2018. Current inventory represents 11 months of supply based on current absorption rates. 

AVERAGE & MEDIAN SALES PRICE

  • The year-over-year average sales price for the area was $681,337 which improved over the same time period in 2018, representing an increase of 6%. 
  • The median sales price for the area decreased 3% to $395,000 vs $408,500 in 2018.

CLOSED SALES

  • The number of closed sales in the 12 months ending February 28, 2019 for the Naples, Bonita Springs and Estero area increased 1% year-over-year (5,642 vs 5,564).
  • There were 9 closed sales, priced above two million, in February 2019 compared to 22 in February 2018 a 144% decrease. During the 12 months ending February 28, 2019, sales in this category decreased 15% over the same time period in 2018 (150 vs 128 units). 

NEW LISTINGS / INVENTORY

  • During the 12 months ending February 28, 2019, a total of 9,116 new listings were added to the market, approximately 4% more listings than the same time period 12 months ending February 28, 2018. 
  • Available inventory as of February 28, 2019 consisted of 5,125 units, an increase of 3% vs the same time period in 2018. Current inventory represents 10 months of supply based on current absorption rates. 

AVERAGE & MEDIAN SALES PRICE

  • The year-over-year average sales price for the area was $401,633, a decrease of 5% vs the same time period in 2018. 
  • The median sales price for the area increased 1% to $254,000 vs $250,785 in 2018.

Half marathon runners will travel through the beautiful Lely Resort which features several inclines; something unique to Southwest Florida running. Racers finish on Victory Lane of the “World Famous Swamp Buggy Races” track.

Chubb Classic

The Chubb Classic, an official PGA TOUR Champions event, will be held February 11-17, 2019 at The Classics Country Club at Lely Resort. The 2019 Chubb Classic will be the 32nd playing of the event in the Naples community. The Classics course, a par 72, 6,714-yard championship layout, designed by World Golf Hall of Fame member and winner of the inaugural Chubb Classic, Gary Player, showcases the scenic beauty native to Southwest Florida, and serves as the centerpiece of The Classics Country Club at Lely Resort. Six years after the inception of the course, in 1996, The Classics Country Club at Lely Resort hosted the Chubb Classic and was won by the legendary Al “Mr. 59” Geiberger.

Since its inception in 1988, the Chubb Classic annually attracts a strong field of competitors. World Golf Hall of Famers Fred Couples, Bernhard Langer, Lanny Wadkins, Lee Trevino and Gary Player have all won the event. Last year, Joe Durant birdied the final two holes and held off Steve Stricker for the title. In addition to the Tournament, the event features several special events throughout the week – the Taste of SW Florida, the Golf to Paradise – First Tee Champions Challenge and Subway® Family Putt for Dough.
