Florida Gulf Coast University’s 31st Annual Wanderlust is a travel and dining extravaganza presented by Southwest Florida’s finest resorts, hospitality partners and other businesses that enjoy the benefits of area tourism. The event is an experiential travel auction extravaganza featuring silent and live auctions of vacation dream packages, culinary delights, and other luxuries. Guests will also enjoy a cocktail reception and dinner. Event proceeds benefit students in the Resort & Hospitality Management Program in the form of financial assistance, scholarships and resources that help them graduate at the forefront of the hospitality industry. This year’s event honors Michael V. Martin, president of Florida Gulf Coast University, and Michael Watkins, hotel visionary and president of the former Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Florida Gulf Coast University’s School of Resort & Hospitality Management prepares students for successful careers throughout the global marketplace in resorts, private clubs, restaurants, events, catering, association management, sports management, wine and spirits retailing and distribution, human resources, and many more specialized areas of hospitality business operations.
